Famalicão Senior Academies organise awareness-raising activities to "Get to know 112"

23-01-2024
Next Monday sees the start of the "Getting to know 112" awareness-raising activities organised by the Vila Nova de Famalicão municipality through the Senior Academies project. The initiative aims to raise awareness of how the 112 line works and to clear up any doubts about the service and the SIEM - Integrated Medical Emergency System.

The first session takes place on 29 January, at 2.30pm, at the Oliveira Santa Maria Parish Council, with free entry and the presence of a Pre-Hospital Emergency technician.

The next day, on 30 January, the second session of the initiative will take place, this time at the Joane Pensioners' Association, also starting at 14h30.

These information sessions are part of the annual programme of INEM's (National Institute of Medical Emergency) DFEM - Department of Training in Medical Emergency and are part of the offer portfolio of the DRN - Northern Regional Directorate.

It should be noted that the Senior Academies programme, promoted by the Vila Nova Famalicão Municipality, aims to improve the quality of life of Famalicão's senior population through learning and socialising practices.

"Conhecer o 112" will be travelling around the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão throughout the year, with scheduled sessions aimed especially at the senior population.
