14-02-2022
In the month in which Valentine's Day is celebrated, Vila Nova de Famalicão City Hall, through Casa da Juventude, is promoting an awareness-raising tour on dating violence.
The initiative will pass by the county's schools and is aimed at young high school students, in 15 sessions on dating violence, alarm signs, helplines and the most effective ways to deal with abusive behaviour in a relationship.
It is recalled that in a recent study by the Union of Women Alternatives and Answers (UMAR) with data from 2020, 67% of young people consider dating violence to be legitimate, of which 26% think that control is legitimate, 23% stalking, 19% sexual violence, 15% psychological violence, 14% violence through social networks and 5% physical violence.
