Move Programme is "Local Sporting Event of the Year" - Portal do Município de Vila Nova de Famalicão - Portugal

'Move', Famalicão's municipal programme dedicated to promoting outdoor physical activity, was distinguished as 'Local Sporting Event of the Year' by Cidade Social, as part of the 'Sports Friendly Municipality' programme.

The award took place last Friday, 23 February, at a ceremony held at the Cineteatro Messias, in Mealhada, with the presence of the municipality's Sports Councillor, Pedro Oliveira.

'Move' is a sporting initiative organised by Vila Nova de Famalicão Town Hall, in partnership with 72 local institutions - sports associations, gyms and parish councils -, which takes place during the summer. It promotes outdoor sport, free of charge and for all ages, and passes through the various parish communities in the municipality of Famalicão.
