Town Hall in the dark for Earth Hour - Portal do Município de Vila Nova de Famalicão - Portugal

On 22 March, the Municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão will once again join the World Wildlife Fund's global challenge, which challenges citizens to switch off the lights in monuments and houses around the world, drawing attention to climate change.

As usual, Famalicão's Town Hall will be dark between 20h30 and 21h30. As well as challenging people to switch off their lights at home, the municipality is also inviting people from Famalicão to cycle in the dark and illuminate - by activating the dynamos installed on their bikes - the monuments and buildings of the municipality, which will be present in a 3-D model installed in the Town Hall.

The initiative is organised in partnership with the Eugénios Gymnasium.
