"A Christmas Wish" to make needy children in Famalicão smile

03-11-2021
The Social Action services of the City Council of Vila Nova de Famalicão want to make the Christmas wishes of children from needy families come true. In this context, the City Council together with the Social Inter-frontier Commissions of the Council (CSIF's) will promote "A Christmas Wish", an action that aims to involve the community in offering Christmas gifts to children, through sponsorship.
The initiative includes about two hundred children aged up to 12 years old, from families identified by the social action services as being in need. Each child will write a letter to Santa Claus, naming a Christmas wish, which the godfathers and godmothers will try to fulfil.
Citizens who are interested in "sponsoring" this initiative may register via e-mail solidariedadesocial@famalicao.pt by calling 252320940 (Social Solidarity) or camaramunicipal@famalicao.pt (252320900).
