On Family Day, the small auditorium of Famalicão's Casa das Artes will host a talk on Human Rights and the Family with guest speakers psychologist Eduardo Sá and television presenter Fátima Lopes.
The session, promoted in partnership with the Camilo Castelo Branco Secondary School, will take place on 15 May at 18h00 and is part of the Family and Interculturalism Week celebrations promoted by the Famalicão municipality. The initiative is free to attend, but is limited to capacity.
The Family and Interculturalism Week programme also includes the Intercultural Families Market, which will be held on May 17 in the centre of Famalicão, in Praça D. Maria II.
The aim of this market is to promote the integration of immigrant families into society by making their cultures, customs and traditions known to the Famalicão community. It will run from 10h00 to 18h00 with the participation of families of various nationalities.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy various cultural and sporting events throughout the day, such as the performance of the Sons do Bairro project at 14h30, the Rusga de Joane at 16h00 and the singing of the Family Anthem at 18h00, with the participation of famalicense musician André Silvestre.
