Eduardo Prado Coelho Essay Prize 2019 with open applications

Applications to the Eduardo Prado Coelho Essay Prize, established by the Portuguese Writers' Association and sponsored by the City Council of Vila Nova de Famalicão, are open until 2 November 2021.
The Prize has a monetary value of 7,500 euros and is intended to reward annually a literary essay work, in Portuguese and by a Portuguese author, published in book form, in its first edition, in the year prior to its award.
In accordance with the Regulations of the Prize, available through the following link https://www.famalicao.pt/grande-premio-de-ensaio-eduardo-prado-coelho, five copies of each book published in 2020 will be sent to the APE (Rua de São Domingos à Lapa, 17 - 1200-832 Lisbon), by the usual means, for the members of the Jury and the library, until November 2, 2021. The APE will not return the books.
It should be noted that the Eduardo Prado Coelho Essay Grand Prize has distinguished since 2010 Victor Aguiar e Silva, Manuel Gusmão, João Barrento, Rosa Maria Martelo, José Gil, Manuel Frias Martins, José Carlos Seabra Pereira, Isabel Cristina Rodrigues, Helder Macedo, Joana Matos Frias and Francisco Duarte Mangas.
