With the right to housing as its starting point, the play evokes the legacy of April and brings it into the present day. If the fight for democracy is eternal, it is true that, yesterday as today, not all those who do it have equal visibility and recognition. The play is based on the true story of a woman who chose the common good over her own benefit. A lady refuses to sell her inherited property in the name of a principle, a young woman disillusioned with her country encounters an unexpected past and searches for her place in the world, a man discovers himself when confronted with the most banal of human dilemmas. On stage, two generations dialogue and confront the audience with their own anxieties and convictions, in a narrative that everyone will recognise. Covering topics such as ageing and death, the difficult independence of young people, property speculation and greed, the right to the city and its transformation, this play is a journey into the country we were and want to be.
