Fase REM’ is a journey into the world of dreams, the mirrors of our unconscious. Expressing itself through the language of circus, tightrope walking and juggling, this show creates a journey full of colour, dance and (un)balance, leading the audience to cultivate the curiosity of knowing what our inner selves are trying to tell us.
As part of its strategic partnership with the Famalicão Performing Arts Platform ‘SOBRE O PALCO’, in 2023 TNF began a National and International Artist Residency project with INAC - Instituto Nacional de Artes do Circo, providing a creative space for emerging artists and fostering dialogue between the aesthetics of contemporary circus and the local community. Curated by INAC, the companies were selected by Open Call and will be in residence at the Narciso Ferreira Theatre, performing for the local community and the general public, with a post-show talk.
Vera Barbosa joined INAC in 2018, where she graduated with a specialisation in tightrope. After completing the course, she continued her training with intensive workshops with Arian Miluka and dance with Patty Hinchado. In 2022, Vera enrolled on the circus degree course at the Fondazione Circo Vertigo. In her professional career, she has worked with the disciplines of tightrope walking, juggling, acrobatics, theatre and dance.
