Agenda Municipal / Sports Walking County PR10
Sat 08 Oct
Sports programme
Starting point: Seide Parish Park | 14h30
Organization: Vila Nova de Famalicão City Hall, in partnership with Calcantes, Grucamo and Corpo Nacional de Escuteiros
The Walking County tours are a leisure activity in the open air, which consist of walking along a pre-established route. These activities do not imply a competition factor, and their main goal is the discovery and contact with nature, and the consequent acquisition of more in-depth knowledge of the region to be covered. In this sense, the City Council is organising a series of short walks that cover all the parishes in the municipality, with the following main objectives: to make residents and visitors aware of the heritage that characterises the area covered by the walks, through on-site observation of geological formations, flora, fauna and their habitats, as well as the local culture, its richness and gastronomy; the promotion and revitalisation of areas that are penalised by themselves.
