Duo Appassionato is a chamber music group made up of pianist Maria João Gomes and bassoonist Pedro Travanca, both students at the University of Minho. 
This ensemble focuses mainly on 19th and 20th century classical repertoire for piano and bassoon, featuring composers such as Camille Saint-Saëns, Paul Jeanjean, Gabriel Grovlez, among others. 
In its first month of activity, in December 2023, Duo Appassionato was honoured with seven different international awards and is currently working closely with The Village VNF.
