The world is a mysterious place when seen through the eyes of an animal. EO, a grey donkey with melancholy eyes, meets good and bad people on his life's journey, experiences joy and pain, survives the wheel of fortune that randomly turns his luck into disaster and his despair into unexpected happiness. But not for a moment does he lose his innocence. Inspired by Robert Bresson's 1966 film "Exemplary Pilgrimage", Jerzy Skolimowski crafts a tender road-movie style story where the viewer sees the world through the eyes of the dreamer EO, a donkey born in a circus. Premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Jury Prize.
