Esmeriz Social Centre will become more accessible

The Esmeriz Parish Social Centre has started the reunification works of its facilities to make them more welcoming and, above all, more accessible. The construction work should be concluded until the end of the year and will result of an investment superior to 150 thousand Euros, with communitarian financing assured in the sequence of the approval of an application for that purpose.
During the construction period, the normal functioning of that Private Institution of Social Solidarity is ensured, through a partnership established between the Parish, the Parish Council and the City Council, which adapted the parish equipment located in the vicinity to house the children that attend the institution's services.
The Esmeriz Parish Social Centre, in operation since 2001, is an IPSS that provides support to families and the community in the areas of childhood and old age, namely through the social responses of Kindergarten, Pre-school, Day Centre and Home Support Service. It currently welcomes about one hundred children and fifty seniors in its facilities.
