She began her musical career in 2009 with the EP "A Pele que Há em Mim", followed by the albums "Dá", "Cásulo", "Quarto Crescente" and "Vai e Vem". In 2019 she won the José da Ponte prize from the Portuguese Society of Authors, and over the years she has three nominations for the SIC/Caras Golden Globes, with the songs "Tempestade", "Insatisfação" and "A pele que há em mim (Quando o dia entardeceu)", the latter a duet with J.P. Simões. In 2022, after a break for health reasons, she produced and released her fifth album, Picos e Vales, from which we recognise the singles "Já Passou da Hora", "Flor e a Fava" and "Meu amor bem sabes". With her band mates, Márcia has toured the whole country with a show that is always emotional, intimate and at the same time impactful, in which her songs are guided by a personalised narrative of light. Márcia is a rare example of artistic consistency, standing out for her careful music, her lyrics and her voice that speaks to the innermost secret in each of us, which has already established her as one of the greatest talents in Portuguese-language songwriting.
