The Municipality of Famalicão is promoting the Social Cohesion Days this Friday, 10 January, dedicated to the issues of ‘Technological Innovation in Social Cohesion’, in an invitation to reflect on the challenges of the social area and to debate and share ideas about the sector.
The initiative, which will take place from 9h30 at the Casa das Artes, will also be marked by the presentation of the platform - Famalicão Mais+ - where all the information on the institutions and social responses in the municipality, support programmes and incentives and the network of contacts and social facilities in Vila Nova de Famalicão is available and centralised.
The platform, which aims to centralise and optimise management in the social area, allowing for a more effective response to the real needs of the community and better coordination of the work of the network, will allow for the individual registration and procedural management of applications for various forms of support from the municipality.
The Mayor of Famalicão, Mário Passos, will open the initiative at 09h30.
The Social Cohesion Days will also feature a panel of experts who will share their perspectives on the trends and challenges of technological innovation in the social area, with the participation of Jorge Batista, from the Primavera Foundation, and a wide-ranging debate on the role of emerging technologies in promoting social cohesion with the participation of Carlos Neves, Managing Director of SEVENFORMA and consultant specialising in Strategy, Innovation, Marketing and Business Development, Delfina Soares, Director of UNU-EGOV, Frederico Pinto de Almeida, Councillor of Cascais Municipal Council, Manuel Lemos, President of the Union of Portuguese Misericórdias and Teresa Carvalho, President of the Central Council of Vincentian Conferences.
