As part of the celebrations for the 168th anniversary of the first train journey in Portugal - 28 October - the National Railway Museum - Lousado Branch is promoting a photographic and documentary exhibition on the theme of the old line from Porto to Póvoa and Famalicão, between 1875 and 1947.
The exhibition is the result of a close partnership between the Municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão, through its Museums and Galleries Department, and the National Railway Museum Foundation.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors will be able to explore the history of the railway heritage of this old line and the memories of the stations and halts, as well as the cultural experiences and socio-economic impact of the times when the line was managed by the companies that preceded CP.
