The story of Willy Wonka was adapted for the big screen in 1971 by Mel Stuart, with Gene Wilder in the lead role, and in 2005 by Tim Burton, with Johnny Depp as the protagonist. This new adaptation, directed by Paul King, features Timothée Chalamet as the young Wonka.
