This year alone, Vila Nova de Famalicão Town Hall has already channelled around 1 million euros into developing a series of interventions and projects in the parish of Ribeirão.
‘The Town Hall wants to continue channelling the necessary support so that the parishes can fulfil their projects and objectives,’ explained Mário Passos last Friday during a visit to the village of Ribeirão.
‘Ribeirão reflects the contribution that the municipality wants to make to the development of Famalicense's parishes. This year, with the support of the municipality, this parish has already started and completed numerous projects that guarantee and strengthen the well-being of its citizens,’ said the mayor.
Between 2022 and 2024, the municipality has already channelled around 1.3 million euros to Ribeirão. The support allocated this year will go towards redeveloping the area adjacent to Rua Maria Augusta Ferreira and extending Travessa do Minho to Rua Fernando Pessoa, redeveloping the former Santa Ana Kindergarten, widening and paving Rua Fonte das Lágrimas, redeveloping Rua Sem Saída (Rua das Piscinas) and Rua Padre Abílio Teixeira, paving Avenida Rio Ave (EM 508) and paving part of Rua da Candeeira (CM 1465), among other projects.
In this regard, it should also be noted that at the last town hall meeting, the municipal executive approved a further 160,000 euros for paving Rua da Cerejeira and for the first phase of the refurbishment of the parish council headquarters.
It should be remembered that so far this year alone, the Town Hall has allocated more than 9 million euros to the parishes of Famalicense for the development of requalification, repairs, paving, construction and other projects.
