The Winter Soul Festival returns to the Casa das Artes in Famalicão on 22 and 23 November, bringing two days of soul, blues and groove that promise to warm up the audience at the end of autumn.
In this third edition, the event stands out for the presence of two big names on the music scene: Nenny, one of the most striking voices of the new generation of Portuguese music, and the iconic international duo Amadou & Mariam, who will close the festival with their unique fusion of traditional African music and contemporary influences.
The festival will be inaugurated on the 22nd by Milhanas, one of the most promising young musicians in Portugal, with the presentation of her debut album ‘De Sombra a Sombra’. Her intimate and engaging music promises to create a unique atmosphere to kick off the evening and the festival.
On Friday, the night will also be in the hands of Nenny, a reference in Portuguese music who combines hip-hop, R&B and African sounds. With hits such as ‘Tequilla’, ‘Bússola’ and ‘Mar Azul’, Nenny promises a pulsating performance, full of energy and capable of captivating the audience from start to finish.
On Saturday 23 November, Famalicão will be home to Amadou & Mariam, a mythical duo from Mali. Acclaimed for their ability to combine traditional African music with elements of pop, rock and electronica, Amadou & Mariam will bring the Casa das Artes audience a unique and universal experience.
Before that, the audience will enjoy a performance by Soraia Tavares, an emerging voice in Lusophone music. With her latest single ‘Tu Não Mentes’ and a charismatic presence, Soraia will take the audience on a journey through her Cape Verdean and Lisbon roots, providing an intimate opening to an unforgettable evening.
